Which phones can I use?

CarPlay supports iPhone 6 or later with iOS 10 or later. Android Auto requires Android 11 or later. Check current phone-app compatibility before ordering.

Does installation require dashboard removal?

No. Power the adapter from a suitable USB port. There is no dashboard removal or vehicle-wire splicing.

How do I connect it?

While parked, power the adapter, enable your phone hotspot and pair with its AutoKit Bluetooth device. Connect the Tesla to the adapter Wi-Fi and open the browser address shown in the supplied setup guide.

Will it work in every country while driving?

Not necessarily. Some regions restrict the Tesla browser while moving, including restrictions noted for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia. Do not attempt to bypass vehicle safety restrictions.

Does it need a SIM card?

No. The pictured global version uses your phone hotspot. Internet-dependent apps use your mobile data allowance.

Where are settings and firmware updates?

Connect your phone to the adapter Wi-Fi and open 192.168.3.1. Check for the update option and keep power connected throughout the update.

What should I check if it will not connect?

Check USB power, hotspot data, Bluetooth pairing and the Tesla Wi-Fi connection. Restart the adapter while parked and follow the guide for your firmware version.

Does it replace Tesla navigation or vehicle controls?
