What controls does the panel add?

Ten physical buttons with configurable functions, plus a rotary LCD control for supported settings such as temperature and fan speed. Functions depend on vehicle and firmware.

Which version should I select?

Choose the model generation and LHD/RHD option. The screen support bracket and wiring route must match your vehicle.

What should I do before installation?

Park safely, inspect the kit and read the matching diagram. Follow its vehicle power-off instructions before unplugging any low-voltage connector.

Which trim is removed in the illustrated installation?

The guide removes the passenger-side door-edge trim, the right-side center-console panel and the footwell cover to expose the routing path. Do not assume this layout is identical on RHD cars.

How is the controller connected to the vehicle?

The guide connects the supplied vehicle power and OBD/data harness to the matching control/protocol box ports. Use the supplied vehicle-specific adapter, not a generic guessed OBD pinout.

How does the extension cable reach the buttons?

Connect the extension to the protocol box USB port, route it through the glove-box cavity, then connect it to the button unit USB port.

How is the panel attached?

Clip the matching bracket onto the factory screen’s rear support. Confirm it is fully seated and does not obstruct the screen or controls.

Does it require splicing factory wires?

The supplied kit is intended for matching plug connections. Do not cut, splice or force connectors.

How do I protect the wiring when refitting trim?

Secure the extension with safe slack. Keep it away from pedals, airbag paths and sharp edges, and out of the clips before refitting the footwell, console and door-edge trims.

What needs testing before the trim goes back?

Test panel power, the rotary display, each configured button and vehicle status while stationary. Confirm the original controls still operate normally.

Are the button icons visible at night?

The panel has illuminated icons. Use a brightness level that remains comfortable and does not distract from the road.

What if a button triggers the wrong action?

Stop using that shortcut, check the selected vehicle/firmware configuration and the assigned function, then retest while parked. Do not troubleshoot gear or door commands while moving.
